Silicone rubber offers the broadest possible temperature range of any common rubber materials with excellent ozone resistance and moderate oil resistance. Silicone also offers the most availability of colors and FDA approved ingredient compounds. Its tear strength (green strength) is minimal, and tensile strength is moderate. Very useful in applications where migration staining may be a consideration. Temperature range -75° to 450° F.
